I thought I would start a thread here about some Harry Potter predictions. I don't want to run something with a lot of spoilers over at the big site. Read on to hear my thoughts.
So basically we've seen some serious development in the characters over the last couple books. Harry, Hermione and Ron are all becoming confused teenagers. Here's some things I see happening:
1) Hermione and Ron. Rowling's been teasing it forever. I think it will actually happen in the next book.
2) Malfoy. I think Rowling could go two opposite ways with Malfoy. Either he will avenge his father's arrest by attacking Harry in the near future or possibly even becoming a Death Eater himself, or he will see the error of his ways and join forces with the D.A.. I would at least expect to see one or more Slytherins in the D.A. next book becuase of the Sorting Hat talking about the necessity for the houses to be united. Another interesting thing to ponder is what Dumbledore will do about the children of known Death Eaters. Will they be allowed at Hogwarts?
These are just a couple things. I'm tired, so I'll continue later.
Tea what the heck, i don't even know who you are or where you are

WHAT is a hand of glory, when does Malfoy get his? someone illuminate me please
Posted by: moira | March 04, 2006 at 06:20 AM
illuminate is a good way to put it.
The hand of glory is a hand that gives light only to its holder. So if your a dark room and have the hand of glory, you'll have light, but the person right next to you won't be able to see.

I finally saw the Goblet of Fire movie last night. Where have I been!?!?!
Does anyone else think it was like a Cliff's Notes version of the book? Does anyone even know what Cliff's Notes are anymore?
I'm still a bit dismayed by the fact that they seem to be wearing muggle clothes all the time.
Posted by: Roaldo | April 19, 2006 at 01:56 PM
Roaldo, you're back! I have no idea what Cliff's notes are. Do illuminate me and incidently I was wondering... you know in the second book Ron's wand gets broken, but id things can be mended with the Reparo charm why could'nt Ron or Hermione do it for him?
Also there are various other incidents in the other book where character's were not able to perform a charm because they couldn't say teh words, but if there is a thing called as non verbal spells in existence it doesn't add up.
Posted by: moira | April 26, 2006 at 12:57 PM
Non-verbal spells don't require words but some spells do. Some spells all you have to do is concentrate and others you have to speak words.XD
Posted by: Futurea | April 27, 2006 at 05:44 PM
Alright i get it. so there are two different TYPES of spells. but what about during the time of the dementor attack in book 5 harry says Lumos when his wand is not even in his hand
Also talking about wizards debt. Harry saved Ginny, and ROn does that mean there is a debt inbetween them.

do you guys think Snape could have at ANY point have had a girlfriend
Posted by: moira | May 05, 2006 at 02:07 AM
It was almost five minutes before I stopped laughing long enough to type.
I highly doubt snape ever had a girlfriend. It would definitly explain why he's so bitter. XD
I love snape, I really do, but picturing him with any girl is soooo funny. I mean really, can you picture it?
